Fishing:

Yellow Perch, Crappie, Rainbow Trout, Splake, Whitefish and Catfish abound all year round in the waters of Haliburton County.

In late May or early June, the Walleye, Northern Pike, and the greatest freshwater warrior of them all, the legendary Muskie come into season. It is said that you've never really learned how to fish until you've tangled with a Muskellunge! Come see for yourself.

Troll or flyfish, cast or jig... the Haliburton Highlands are every anglers dream for a weekend getaway or spring fishing vacation.

Casting from the shore, trolling the deep caverns, fly fishing a brook, or jigging - the choice is yours. There is a lake, a stream, a river or brook to satisfy every angler's penchant for fishing in the Haliburton Highlands. Just as there is almost every breed of game fish lurking the depths of our pristine lakes.
